For restaurants

Split a restaurant bill without doing math at the table.

Snap the receipt, add the people, and let Repartim work out who owes what.

What goes wrong

The usual problems.

Awkward math

Pulling phones out to divide the total by N while the waiter waits for the card.

Who had what

Trying to remember who ordered the steak versus who only had a salad.

Different drinks

Some people had cocktails. Others had water. Equal splitting feels unfair.

Tip confusion

Tip equally or proportionally? Easier to just decide once and move on.

What it looks like

Here's the app handling it.

A four-person dinner where Jordan only had a salad. Repartim works out who owes whom from the receipt items.

How Repartim handles it

Four quick steps.

1

Get the receipt

Ask for the bill as usual.

2

Snap it

Photograph the receipt. Repartim reads the items.

3

Add the people

Add who was there. Mark fixed amounts if anyone only had a small share.

4

Share the link

Everyone sees their share and how to pay back.

Common scenarios

Cases people actually hit.

Big table, equal split

Everyone shared the food and wine. Equal split, done in 30 seconds.

Mixed orders

Two people had a tasting menu, the rest had pizza. Set fixed amounts for the tasting menu and equal for the rest.

Couples paying together

A couple wants to count as one share. Set 'pays for 2 people' on one entry.

One person paid the card

Whoever covered the card sees what everyone else owes them back.

Why it helps

What you actually get.

Faster than calculator apps

From the receipt to a shared link in under a minute.

No app for guests

Send a link. Everyone opens it. No signup, no install.

Fair without arguing

When the numbers come from the receipt, there's nothing to debate.

FAQ

Things people ask.

Does Repartim handle tax, service charges, and tips?

Yes. Whatever's printed on the receipt comes through as line items — tax, service, tip included. You can keep them on the bill or remove anything that shouldn't be split.

What if we paid on separate cards?

Add one entry per person and put what their card covered under their items. Repartim works out the net balance between everyone, so whoever fronted more gets paid back.

Can someone only pay for what they ordered?

Yes. Set their contribution type to "fixed" and enter the amount of their order. Everyone else continues with equal split on the rest of the bill.
