Does Repartim handle tax, service charges, and tips?
Yes. Whatever's printed on the receipt comes through as line items — tax, service, tip included. The total is what settles up, so anything that shouldn't be shared is better recorded as its own expense.
What if we paid on separate cards?
Record one expense per card, each under the person whose card it was. Repartim works out the net balance between everyone, so whoever fronted more gets paid back.
What if some of us leave before the end?
Start a new part and untick whoever went. Everything recorded from then on is split between the people still there, and what's already in stays with whoever was at the table at the time. It all nets out into one settlement at the end, so nobody pays for a dinner they weren't at.
Can someone only pay for what they ordered?
Not item by item — Repartim splits a payment, not the lines inside it. But a whole payment can be for particular people: put the amounts against their names and only they are charged. For one steak on a shared receipt, the simplest thing is still to record it as its own expense.
