What works

If a receipt has line items printed on it, Repartim can read it. Here are the formats people most often use.

Sit-down receipts with line items, drinks, and tips.

Long itemized receipts — Repartim parses every line.

Short receipts, one after another, each shared by whoever was at the table for it.

Single-amount receipts get treated as one line item.

Multi-night stays. Say which nights the bill covered and Repartim divides it by night — or, for separate rooms, take the two amounts straight off it.

Bought on one card for some of the group. Put the amounts against their names and only they are charged.

Tips

A creased or curled receipt is harder to read. Smooth it out before snapping.

Make sure the bottom (where the total is) is in frame.

Phone flashlight is fine. Avoid heavy shadows across the text.

If there's a lot of background, crop to just the receipt — it improves accuracy.
