Questions
Things people wonder about.
Do I need an account?
No. You can create events, scan receipts, and share with your group without signing up. An account lets you keep history across devices — that's the only difference.
Why don't I see who owes whom until the end?
On purpose. Balances mid-event turn a shared running total into a scoreboard, and people start optimising who pays for the next round instead of just paying for it. While an event is open it shows what's been spent and — if you've said which one is you — how much of that was yours. You can still ask: “Preview the settlement” works out who would pay who at any point, without ending the event.
What if the receipt scan gets something wrong?
You can edit any line item — name, amount, or remove it entirely. Repartim never locks you out of changes.
What if people join or leave part-way through?
Say so once — start a new part, tick who's still here — and everything recorded from then on is split between them. What's already in stays with whoever was sharing at the time, and it all nets into one settlement rather than two that cancel each other out.
Can one person stand for two?
Yes. Set how many people that row represents and they're charged that many shares — the way a couple or a family usually wants to be billed.
Can other people edit the event?
Yes. Anyone you share the link with can add themselves, add an expense, record what somebody else paid, and say when the group changed. It's a shared ledger, not a personal one.
